Tradewind originally developed the shared charter concept in 2002 with service to Nantucket, and subsequently to other leisure destinations such as Martha’s Vineyard and Stowe, as well as to St. Barth’s and Anguilla in the Caribbean. Its introduction of a new dedicated route to Newport capitalizes not only on the increasing buzz the destination has seen over recent years, but also on the reinvigoration of travel expected for the remainder of 2021 ahead. Travelers to the destination can expect a host of new hotels, maritime activities, stunning natural landscapes, festivals, culinary attractions and more.

David Zipkin, co-founder and vice president at Tradewind Aviation, said in a press statement that “Newport had been an increasingly popular destination for Tradewind prior to the pandemic, and we believe that will continue as our guests seek destinations to explore and enjoy as they begin traveling again.”
